"Loved the pub and Simon was super helpful. Best nights sleep ever in the best bed with lovely soft pillows. Food very good, especially breakfast (full Yorkshire breakfast) overall such great find. Highly recommended. Very dog friendly and lovely atmosphere."

I had a small accident and broke my foot, the hosts were so helpful and really went out of their way. Everything I needed was there and it was easily accessible to the city center. "Stayed as solo traveller for 2 nights. Single room small but had all the facilities required and was spotlessly clean and warm, and ideally positioned just around the corner from the town centre. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice. Overall a nice stay (room 12) in a good budget single, with lovely and helpful host. Would happily stay again. (And thanks for the mince pies!!) . "

"Cashed in some one key points for night away . Took the scenic route from Gateshead and visited Richmond , Aysgarth Falls , Grassington and Thirsk on the way . Had a couple of beers in the beer garden , freshened up then a gorgeous meal in the orangery. So glad we had booked as they were turning people away ! The staff were excellent- friendly , courteous and attentive. Lovely relaxing night away , helped by the English heatwave ."
