"Very impressed. The staff were excellent. The accommodation was very clean and we were in a lovely quirky room with a fabulously sloping floor that really added character. The only thing to mention was car parking was a little limited but other than that we had a really good experience. "

"Unfortunately there was a large amount of building work going on and out room directly overlook the building work so no view whatsoever ever. Asked about a room change and the duty manager said there was nothing available didn’t offer any alternatives and didn’t ask if we would like to upgrade at a cost to ourselves. "

"Shut. Couldn’t get in. Didn’t answer phone during afternoon or evening (5 calls). Mattress on its side in a dining area seen through window. Has to find somewhere else. No redeeming features. "

"Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future! "
