"When I got to the hotel (close to 1 am), I had to wait approximately 5-7 minutes for a desk clerk to appear. She and another coworker were in the back with a closed door. While I was waiting, two others joined me and they advised that the clerk was often hidden in the back room. Otherwise, check in was fine. The hotel is nice but our room was obviously updated without being done in a quality manner. "

"The Red Caboose is a cute spot to stay outside of Lancaster. We were in town for the Sight & Sound Theatre, and this is really the BEST location. It was a quick five-minute drive. The caboose was comfortable and had everything we needed. Fancy? Not really, but you don’t always need fancy. The staff were wonderful and helpful. Honestly, everyone in Lancaster is so friendly. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast too, and really enjoyed it. It was enough food to last us through the day. "

"The room was clean but the bed was hard and the pillows very soft. The shower was kind of a puzzle to operate with the faucets. It was extremely difficult to adjust the temperature and the water pressure was terrible, A couple of floor boards were loose and they seemed to crack when walked on."

"We had a view of rhe Benjamin Frankin Bridge and the Delaware River from our room which was really fun! It is close to Old City Philadelphia and lots of dining options and shops. Also close to the water front. The room was pretty basic, a bit on the smaller size. The decor and carpet were a bit dated, but it was clean and the beds were comfy. The staff were all very nice. A great stay for the price!"

"If I have to critique...The room was clean. The furniture and fixtures (except for beds) appear to be made for children. I never knew the made a toilet that sat so low to the floor, Really. Water pressure was adequate to shower but don't expect that massage showerhead to do any good. The carpets in the halls is lumpy all over so be careful walking about. Vending machines only took cash, no card readers. The free breakfast included your standard breads, bananas and oranges, some cereal, coffee...
