"The whole place looked dented. The room was basic with very tired old furniture.
We had no toiletries whatsoever in the bathroom.
Obviously the staff don’t check the notices near reception. Still a poster advertising Mothers Day 2025 hung up.
In the breakfast area some tables had tablecloths and others didnt"

"This is an stunning old building, but not the best maintained. Room had a stale smell, especially in the bathroom. Cleanliness not great, some surfaces and corners were dusty, water marks on the coffee machine.
Room sold as beach view, but wasn't the best. It overlooked part of the hotel which was frequented by seagulls and covered in bird poo. Looking over that you could see the sea between some trees.

"This hotel is great and we couldn’t fault our stay until check out time..... we had already paid for the hotel prior to our stay yet we were asked to pay again for the room!
Apparently the hotel has recently changed hands and there is some issue with the accounts transferring over so the hotel isn’t currently receiving the payments people are paying ( going to the old company).
We politely explained that this was not our issue and we wouldn’t be paying for the room twice!!

"Wonderful setting, plenty of parking, Room very clean and impressively decorated, though peeling decorative strips on the wardrobe door detracted a little. Breakfast excellent and service and breakfast first class. The same could not be said for evening service on our first night in the Elements restaurant - 2 1/4 hours for two courses and we had to go ask for the dessert menu was unacceptable. The Virtual customer service once I got through was polite and helpful but it took 40 minutes to get through. I was asking for a blanket as duvet was very thin. The heating was nt very efficient and in December more detail should be given
