"Right in the heart of the historical city of Matera you will find Cavoso Hotel. We stayed in one of the cave rooms which was much more airy and larger than I expected. The room had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay. The hotel gives you a choice of breakfast in your room or the dining area. We tried both and enjoyed the variety. "The Masseria itself is stunning. The rooms are basic but very clean. The pool area is lovely, and the courtyard has beautiful views of the old house built into the rock. We also booked the spa, which was an amazing private experience with steam room, shower, sauna and private pool. 5 minute drive from the Centro Storico. "
