"We stayed in room 19. The room was gorgeous. Comfortable and nice spaces. The staff were all extremely helpful, especially Anna (. Also the breakfast staff and porter, who I don't have named of). Breakfast was delicious in a lovely room with a live piano player. Communication was excellent before and during our stay. Good location. Great restaurants nearby. We also used their parking service and luggage tranfer service. That worked well. 10 star review!!!"

"Excellent location as near to everything you want to see. Communication with the owner was great and we highly recommend using the Transfer from Bari Airport they organise for you. The room is quiet with the windows closed and the aircon worked. It us a unique room to stay in. The La Lopa restaurant across the street is great for the Sampling menu and then go down to its Cinema in a cave afterwards. Make sure to book in advance. Places shut between 2.30 and 4.00pm due to the heat but then open up till late at night. Matera is best in the evening when it is truly magical and quieter. We stayed for 3 days but wished we had stayed at least 4. The cystern Lungo is a unique place to visit and we'll worth the time. Also the Casa Grotto and the Church of the Rock. We recommend a walking tour with a guide but take an early evening one as it was incredibly hot during the day. If you arrive or depart by bus then the station is a 30 minute walk or take a taxi. We loved the accommodation and Matera."
