I can’t say enough wonderful things about Conche Luxury Retreat, it’s gorgeous, truly unique, and Carla, the owner, is the best host imaginable. My mom celebrated her 70th birthday there, and Carla went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience. The location couldn’t be more perfect, with everything within walking distance, including several amazing restaurants. The room was spectacular, and the breakfast was outstanding!

Beautiful boutique hotel

A truly unique and beautiful place to stay. Staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Carla gave us some great recommendations for both restaurants and bars … Madame Guilia was the standout for us. The breakfast is outstanding … so much choice and all beautifully presented. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

This is a truly unique, beautiful place, built into a cave, right in the Sassi of Matera. The owners/operators of the hotel are kind, helpful, and wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent.

This was our favourite of all 5 properties we stayed in Puglia. The staff were wonderful, even before we arrived their service was incredibly attentive. They catered for my gluten free requirements more than anywhere else I've ever stayed. The cave room was gorgeous, all modern conveniences, but sympathetically designed to retain the old world charm. We loved it, and highly recommend for your Matera stay.

Beautiful property and excellent staff. Breakfast was excellent. Only downside was no door to bathroom, only a curtain, but it is a cave room. I would recommend this location and would go back again.
