"Great Hotel in a perfect location to access Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon ! Loved the shared hot tubs, my wife and daughter found the mini gym great. The room was an adequate size, but not much space really. All very clean and well kept. Bar area was lovely with big comfy chairs"

"We had the most charming stay a the Lake Hotel Gistihusid in Eglisstadir. The room triple room felt like a full on apartment- it was spacious, modern, and cozy. We enjoyed access to the onsite Spa. The staff was responsive and friendly to all of our requests. Breakfast was a highlight- many options, with a lot of Icelandic influence. We dined at the restaurant for two evenings. We found the food delicious and very good value in comparison to other restaurant hotels we ate at in Iceland. Overall this was our best value stay in all of Iceland. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next tour of East Iceland."
