"They're doing the best they can with an old building. No thermastat in the room. Shower doesn't drain well and shower floor is on level surface with the rest of the bathroom so water keeps leaking into the bathroom after every shower. Shower mat was drenched after every shower so we had to remember to hang it before we went out. The sink is oddly positioned 4-5 feet away from the mirror. When putting in your contact lenses, shaving, or applying makeup, you can't even see what you are doing....

"The location of the Arnarhvoll Center Hotel was great for my convention at the Harpa Concert Hall, just across the street. Also just across from bus stop #5, where all the tour buses and the airport Flybus stop. A wonderful view of the harbour and surrounding mountains, especially from the 8th floor where they serve a delicious hot breakfast buffet, which was included in my Expedia package. "The room was not clean. Specifically the bath room and tub had black something coming out of the drain and jets. Also they promoted rooftop hot tubs but neither of them were operational. Food was not that great in the restaurant. Overall we were not happy with our stay. We complained to management for some sort of compensation and they have ghosted us. Very poor experience. Would not recommend staying here."

"Staff was very pleasant and happy to help us. Thermal bass for the perfect temperature. One tub had some damage, but open for use 24 hours a day. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast buffet was incredible, and coffee/tea available 24 hours a day."

"The place was great and at a great price. The only criticism I have is that their duvets are very small (twin size) even when you are in a queen bed. It was hard to find a good position to sleep because either my feet or my head was cold. Also if you move from side to side the duvet would slide off. This seems to be the case in most hotels in Iceland and it is my only complaint."
