"We had a large group in town for a wedding and reserved 8 rooms. The location was great and accommodations worked out perfectly. We needed to make some last minute changes to a couple of the reservations and Brandon the employee duty was kind, polite and very helpful. I appreciated that so much."

"Staff was nice and I have no complaints with them. But the room was very rundown with holes in the walls and chipping paint. Room had a very unpleasant moldy smell-which could be contributed to the fact that the toilet leaked and was running alot after flushing. Also, the floor we were on had very loud guests all night long, slamming doors, dogs barking, arguing and yelling-not consistent with a good nights sleep. I can not recommend this hotel."

"They’re getting one star because Expedia doesn’t allow me to give them less than that. The entire hotel is in poor condition. The first room that I was given stank and had mold growing in the bathroom. The entire hotel smells like cigarettes and humidity. The towels were stained. There was only conditioner and body wash bottles and they were 1/4 of the way filled up. Place sucked."

"There were holes in the curtains and cigarette burns in the comforter. The bathroom door was busted and wouldn’t close and the toilet doesn’t flush completely. There were no towels and the smoke detector would not stop going off. When I went to the front desk to get towels I told the man at the desk about the smoke detector. "We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Maple Hill is a piece of living history and it was a privilege to stay there. The owners are excellent stewards of this absolute gem. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Every detail in the house is stunning. We took time to look at everything inside and outside so that we could absorb the beauty of the home and property. And the breakfast was BETTER than a restaurant! Getting dessert in the evening was such a lovely treat and a romantic...
