"Our room was very clean. The staff during the day were extremely helpful, alas, not so much when we had a problem during the night. The hotel gave us a credit for this. The breakfast was fine, although, as expected on a bank holiday, super busy. We did not appreciate the proximity of the hotel to the conference centre. Therefore, maybe an idea to check if there is a conference on when you visit and what time it finishes in the evening."

"Absolutely loved our stay. Check-in was simple, staff were helpful and the hotel has clearly been renovated recently to a high standard. Breakfast was up there with the best I've ever had in a hotel. Also cracking view over the town and beyond from the Skybar in which the breakfast was served. "A stunning facility in a rural property in belies the quality of this place. Check in was painless, efficient and helpful with clear directions to our room, once there WOW. Walked into a very large room with more space one would expect in a 5 star establishment. Big comfortable bed, really good bathroom and kitchen to boot. If we were going to stay in the area this would be the place to choose. Had dinner there and service was lovely, food plentiful and tasty and a pre dinner drink in the bar...

"It was a beautiful stay! The only downside was that the lift wasn’t working and they put us on the top floor with my mom having a disability so it was difficult for her to do all those stairs."

My wife really enjoyed the spa which is located a short walk across the road from the hotel. We would have preferred an self service open buffet style continental breakfast"

"The staff are lovely and the food is amazing. The lunchtime sharing boards are brilliant. We loved the location, especially the short walk along the canal into town. The only downside was the lack of a lift. I've been told to pack less for next time!!"
