Very interesting 900 year old castle in Skipton with old Banqueting room, dungeon etc. Nice woodland walks in nearby Skipton Castle Wood.
SKIPTON CASTLE in Yorkshire, England. This iphone panorama was taken from the walk along the Skipton Canal.
I didn't go into the castle this time; however, the entrance is on the other side of the picture, a bit to the right. It was lovely to see the castle from this perspective because it is quite big!
Skipton Castle is well worth visiting and full of beautiful nooks and crannies. There is an entrance fee, but so worthwhile!
Skipton is also a great base to explore the surrounding Yorkshire Dales #NationalPark.
Swans and cygnets too on the canal in Skipton. The waterways are surprisingly full of nature..and beautiful barges too.
