"The rooftop pool had wonderful views but minimal seating. The breakfast buffet was good with plenty of choices. The hotel overall definitely needs an upgrade. The first room assigned to us had mildew (mold) on the pictures and curtains. The carpet was stained. We got another room with vinyl flooring instead of carpeting and it had been painted however the walls were dusty and dirty. Great location and good staff."

"About two blocks away from the beach, felt very safe in the neighborhood. Great food options close by. Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet had scrambled eggs different sausages and lots of fresh fruit and bread options. My only complaint is the scrambled eggs were very wet but overall great food at breakfast! Room was a little small but very clean and nice. Pool was so beautiful and they have a sauna and place to hangout on the roof with great views. I would definitely stay here...

"This hotel met my expectations. The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful to me at all times. The room was clean and comfortable and a location was nearly perfect for all of the activity I participated in. The breakfast was very well prepared plus the food from the hotel restaurant. Most importantly if I'm ever visit Copacabana again on vacation it's a big YES I will stay again. "

"Porto Bay Rio is such a beautiful hotel. We booked the panoramic window room and the view is hard to beat. From the sunrises to the sunsets, and even the twinkling lights at night, the view was incredible. We could even see the Christ the redeemer statue from the hotel. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The hotel is also very clean. It’s in a great location with so many places to eat or things to do.
