"We were pleased with our checkin, especially the receptionist’s welcome and willingness to have access to our room early. The room had an updated feel and the bathrooms glass shower doors worked well and looked lovely. The breakfast had multiple options and was spaced out to make for easy access to all choices. This is a lovely hotel and a great place to stay when in Charlottesville. "

"The bartender Mark is funny and smart and charming and worth a trip into the main building. The separate house we stayed in left something to be desired — mops and cleaning supplies sat out in the living room the whole time we were there. "
