"The Hornsbury Mill is a very charming hotel, set in beautiful grounds with a little lake. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the bed comfortable. I had the full English (vegan) breakfast and it was very tasty. The one complaint I had was that when the very charming old mill wheel is on and turning (which they switch off at 8pm), the noise made a constant thud in my room and bothered me a little. I assume it won’t be too much of a bother though to most people, who would be in bed well...

"This is such a lovely hotel. Really welcoming staff, comfortable, quiet room and close to shops and eating places in Chard. The breakfast was so good, cooked to order, really can't fault anything. "

"What an amazing place to stay! Close to many activities but at the same time a lovely quiet location. Very well equipped with lots of DVD choices, board games and everything you need to maintain your stay. The beds and bedding was my highlight one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in for years! "What a lovely place! The room was surprisingly large with a more than spacious bathroom and both really clean. The adjoining pub/ restaurant had a really good atmosphere with a good range of beers. Staff were really nice friendly willing to help out wherever they can. I strongly recommend booking a table as from what I could see the place is very popular and you do t want to miss out on trying the food! "
