"A fantastic rustic building set amongst some very picturesque settings with well kept grounds and straight off a main road close to the village of Chard. I was checked in by welcoming and friendly staff who showed me to my room. A nicely decorated room included hot chocolate which was a bonus (most accommodation only off tea and coffee). The bathroom was nice and clean although the shower could have done with better water pressure. I took an hour long walk along the nearby country lanes and took in some lovely scenic views. There were some dining options in and around Chard as well as the Hotel itself. The bed was really comfy and provided a full night's sleep which can be hard to attain when on the road. Breakfast was fantastic with both cooked and cold options and everything was cooked to perfection. I will be sure to look at staying here again given the opportunity."

"A very friendly and comfortable establishment with three rooms over a very busy pub. Clean and inviting room, bear in mind up a steep flight of stairs. Very substantial and tasty breakfast. No specific parking but street and free public car park nearby. Staff hugely helpful when my car needed a jump lead start."
