"What a lovely place! The room was surprisingly large with a more than spacious bathroom and both really clean. The adjoining pub/ restaurant had a really good atmosphere with a good range of beers. Staff were really nice friendly willing to help out wherever they can. I strongly recommend booking a table as from what I could see the place is very popular and you do t want to miss out on trying the food! "

"The Hornsbury Mill is a very charming hotel, set in beautiful grounds with a little lake. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the bed comfortable. I had the full English (vegan) breakfast and it was very tasty. The one complaint I had was that when the very charming old mill wheel is on and turning (which they switch off at 8pm), the noise made a constant thud in my room and bothered me a little. I assume it won’t be too much of a bother though to most people, who would be in bed well...

"The hosts were a lovely couple very helpful and made us very welcome The room was well decorated and extremely clean.With a good supply of sachets for hot drinks and a fridge downstairs where we could help ourselves to milk and juice.And the breakfast was excellent.Would definitely stay there again and recommend them to family and friend. "Strong WiFi throughout. Plenty of choice for breakfast, although the cooked food was a bit salty for our liking. Bed was firm, with a creak. Non feather bedding, so great for allergies. Bathroom door wasn't keen to stay shut. Room was clean. Great selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate as well as biscuits. Quiet location over the night. Steak and ale pie great, veg pie you needed a spoon to eat the contents with. "
