"Lovely stay in a very convenient location. I arrived by plane and took a direct train to Gare du Nord, followed by a short 12 minute walk to the hotel. For my return, it was just a 12 minute walk back to Gare du Nord for the Eurostar, which made the whole journey seamless. "Arrived by myself with 3 suitcases, a backpack, and my cat. The most the front desk guy could be bothered to do was hit the elevator button for me—didn’t even hold the front door for me before check in as he saw me struggling to get through. Walked into my room and it was incredibly hot, the air hadn’t been turned on. Turns out you can’t control the AC yourself so had to go back down to the front desk and ask them to switch it on, which then took a bit to cool down. Room itself was tiny, but I somewhat expected this. What I didn’t expect was that my window would be right near a walkway and ground level, so when I was trying to go to sleep there were people chatting and smoking literally just outside my window. The whole room smelled of smoke and the walls seemed paper thin. On checkout it was a new girl and she tried to get me to pay the tax/cat fee again even though the first guy had already charged me. Overall this place just seems poorly run and unless you’re in a pinch and desperately need a place to stay near the train station (which by the way you will hear trains running all night), there are much better options probably for a better price."

"First visit and I was extremely pleased. Very close to gare du nord with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close by. Very friendly and helpful staff, including super room cleaning team who did a great job. Great air con in room which was needed with 35Two small quibbles: the breakfast was modest, it was okay but great choice, and shower water pressure was moderate, rather than great. Buf these ars only small issues, I will 100% stay again soon because of very helpful, kind staff and super location."

"The hotel was clean, the room service and staff were exceptional. Check in and check out was smooth and fast and the staff even helped coordinate surprise balloons as this trip was a celebration for my partner, these touches make a real difference. My only wish was that we could use the stairs because we were on floor 5 and each time we waited for the one small lift it was full of many people each time which meant we had to wait for the next round. The location of the hotel was fine in terms of getting around, just a 10 minute walk from the main eurostar station and metros all around. The general area seemed quite poverty stricken and many homeless people nearby at local street feeding shelter across the road from the hotel, people sleeping and living in tents, and lots gathering in large numbers. Some nearby restaurants I could see waiters asking the homeless people to move away and stop bothering customers which I saw lead to one loud argument. The hotel is within its own clean, safe, space and I would stay here again but think this should be known."

"The accomodation was simple, no air conditioning but a fan was provided. The room was clean and comfortable, well insulated from outside noise so we had 3 quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was continental, cereals, fresh bread and croissants, which were very tasty. Close to both the Gare de L'Est and a metro station, Gare du Nord only 15 minutes walk. The owners were very helpful and the lift worked well (6 floors). A well managed hotel."

"It is the absolute best, unless you can afford the Ritz. Excellent location, close to Notre Dame, the Louvre, high end and more affordable budget shopping. Across the street, an excellent boulangerie to grab breakfast, multiple dinning options close by. Water and ice machines in every floor perfect after you have been walking in the sun all day long. Big comfortable rooms and bathrooms."
