"Staff was accommodating and helpful. Would recommend taking a hand towel and wash clothes. Also any additional towels you need. Showers were not exactly what we were expecting. Complimentary breakfast was OK but was exactly the same each day. Wished they had switched fruits and juices at least some. Was a great value for what we paid. Was in a very safe area with nice restaurants within walking distance."

"Rustic lodges in the trees, small family run property (only 4 lodges). Lovely owners, breakfast brought to your lodge each morning - eggs, toast, jam & fruit. Fridge, kettle and coffee maker in room. Although it isn't far to Monteverde you would need a car."

I had to call the cab that had just dropped me off late in the afternoon to come get me and take me to another hotel. "La Terraza was an absolute delight. The staff and owners couldn’t have been more friendly, more helpful, more accommodating. We stayed in the El Rio apartment. A bit more expensive than a regular room but, OMG, so worth it!! Its large, has a beautiful view from the terrace, full kitchen, beautifully decorated.
