We were given a conplimentary room upgrade because we were celebrating a special occasion, and we were able to add an extra night into our stay abd stay in the same room. "For the price the hotel was OK, thankfully it was only a bed for the night whilst working nearby. Its the little things that let it down, first impression when you walk in the foyer is to walk back out, but then when you get in the room itself things are not too bad, Plug missing from batch, back missing off remote control, windows and mirrors are dirty. "Characterful property in open countryside with good free parking. A car is needed for getting about as no immediate public transport (40 minute walk to nearest bus stop). Set in lovely grounds with seating outside for warmer days and plenty inside when it isn't so nice. Large room with bath and shower though minmal sockets and not near bed. Good for relaxing and not being distracted by phones. There was an event on the evening we stayed but music stopped by 11pm. Great for a relaxing break. "
