"The hotel was such a disappointment. The hotel reception is the nicest part, the rooms, or at least the rooms we were in across the bridge were so dated and dull. It was the hottest day of the year and the only place in the hotel with air con was the reception desk. The pool and jacuzzi was nice but not worth going back for. So much better value out there."

"This Race Course branch of the Chain does everything it says on the tin. Helpful staff, clean rooms, great breakfast choice. Having to fork out for parking is unwelcoming. Outside of race days whats the point.... a few miles down the road the member of the chain doesn't charge. So I go there next time. Otherwise no beefs."

"Our second stay at this lovely hotel. It’s elegant without being stuck up. All the staff were lovely. I had the most fantastic green curry in Drakes restaurant; a good nights sleep in very comfortable bed; a great breakfast (yogurt, fresh pineapple and fruit coulis especially appreciated!); and a nice dip in the pool before leaving. "We booked two rooms,holes in ceilings and old parts of things that no longer work left in place,cobwebs all around inside of window and the panelling on the floor around windows full of dust,very warm and humid rooms had to spend time outside in car to cool,would not stay again awful."

"Stayed 2 nights in a deluxe room. As did our daughter and son in law. Both rooms were lovely. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. The hotel is in a great central location. We had room service for breakfast both mornings. Our daughter ate breakfast in the restaurant. Both were very nice. The only downside was that we couldn’t get the room cool enough during the heatwave but the hotel were quick in providing us with a fan to help. You couldn’t even put the mug (from the hotel room not my personal one) to pour coffee in it because it is too big. In the room there are no sockets.
