"We stayed at Hotel Canal Grande for 4 nights. The front desk staff was kind and accommodating. We arrived at 1 am in the morning and wanted to have a cocktail after a long day of travel. Even though the bar closed at 11 pm, the front desk clerk was kind enough to open the bar for us for as long as we wanted. Most of all is the host, Andrea is such a nice and helpful person always available. Gave us a lot of recommendations. Even bought us pastries one morning. "Glorious location on the Grand Canal. The staff was excellent-clearly the most professional people are hired by the management. Breakfast, cocktail hour, and dinner were all delicious-we had no desire to look elsewhere when we could sit outside on a terrace next to the Grand Canal. Umbrellas protected us from a brief sprinkle of rain. The recommendation to visit Murano via water taxi was much appreciated. We were picked up off the hotel entrance. We didn't want to leave!"
