The hotel was very comfortable.
I rented the smallest room, but still had a lovely view over the garden and the canal. The bathroom was spotless with tile walls and floor. Since the hotel has multiple comfortable sitting areas inside and outside in 2 gardens I didn’t miss a larger room. The location was perfect. Close enough to desirable areas to walk easily, but also not in the most touristy district. I could find groceries, and in the other direction, turn a corner and there was the Accademia with multiple nearby Vaporetto stops. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and on all night. The hotel is old in a charming way; hand carved panelling in the breakfast room, marble stairway, a 2nd floor grand drawing room with armor, but the rooms were updated. I loved having built in USB wiring. And the breakfast buffet covered full english to traditional italian, with choices for yoghurt fruit lovers. I appreciated being able to have unlimited American coffee- something I like for breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
