"A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. "An absolute gem of a find. We booked for my birthday at the end of last year, loved it so much, went back this last weekend for our anniversary. The quiet location, the lovely food, the friendly staff, all make for a really gorgeous overnight treat. Whilst last time we stayed in the four poster bed room, we opted for the balcony room this time. It was a little tired and in need of some TLC but none the less, it was a lovely stay. "
