"The truest test of a review is would we stay there again? The answer to that is sadly a no. Nothing particularly wrong, just not really a good value all things considered in the end. The property is well positioned in the city for access to grocery, chain restaurants, coffee houses and the #8 bus. There is a busy street, particularly popular on weekends nearby. "We stayed one night while we were in Bristol for a show at the Hippodrome. It is an older hotel, but a comfortable stay with convenient car parking. It is conveniently located within walking distance of many sites and places to eat. We had a good size, clean room. The bed comfortable and showers hot. We really liked the white company toiletries, and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. Would be happy to stay if we are in the area again."

"The room is good and of a reasonably high standard. There are however two major challenges. The room was on the top floor which from the car park is three flights of stairs. A lot when you’re carrying several large bags and clothes for a wedding. The second big issue is the hall lights on a sensitive room sensor. There is no way to switch this off or lights off. "A lovely little apartment right in the centre of Clifton village. Very cosy and well maintained. My only complaint would be there is no "Convenient and secure on-site parking, a rare amenity in the area", as described when booking. There is on paid on street parking but you have to arrive after 5pm to pay for all night parking. Other than that I would recommend. "

"Central location close to the Beacon, markets, restaurants and other food outlets, and pubs. Enclosed yard with tables and seating. Soft but comfortable bed. Quite tight bedroom and bathroom but OK. Great breakfast options. Just a little noisy into the early hours but England had just won at football!"

It was an excellent choice for that, although there is some road construction going on directly around it which made rolling one’s bag a little more difficult than it would normally be. "Jonny, the host was friendly, courteous and very helpful. Cannot be faulted. Room and en suite basic, but bed clean and comfortable. Plenty of storage drawers, small table and chairs a nice touch. Shower room small but clean, with good shower pressure. Although above a pub, the rooms are unexpectedly quiet. Budget-friendly - if you want all the “bells & whistles”, then you’d have to pay much more for a room. Well worth the money."
