Came to visit the Australian War Memorial - lots of construction going on. Make sure you book your 2 hr slot(s) ahead of time or you may be disappointed. Australian National Botanic Gardens were excellent.

We went to the National Gallery - always fabulous - and Floriade, also the Kite Festival and Bonsai at the National Arboretum. Lovely atmosphere the whole weekend & fabulous meals too.

Regular visitor to CBR from SYD for short breaks. So easy to drive to when I need to enjoy the balance Canberra has mixing everything a big city offers, with the serenity of a big country town vibe. Don't make the mistake of CBR being a boring town.
