"Wow! What a great experience this was. I love how when I walked in the hotel I immediately saw smiling faces and a poster of President Obama in the corner. It was right on brand for my stay as I was visiting the Obama Presidential Center for the Grand Opening weekend. The breakfast was delicious and I love that we had a space to park at the hotel. This hotel was convenient for my commute in Hyde Park. I will be back. Thank you, staff for your service and kind hospitality!"

"My stay was only for a night; I wouldn't stay longer. The interior and exterior are not kept up. The bedding is questionable. I would consider bringing your own blanket and pillow or just covering the bed and pillows when lying on it. Their blanket is very thin. Wear socks or slippers; the floor is sticky, and bring an air freshener. Not sure what cleaning supplies are used, but the room needs airing out. It's a bad area or the surroundings are bad."

"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this hotel was so disgusting that I feel obligated to warn other travelers. From the moment we walked through the front doors, I was horrified. The carpet in the lobby and hallways was absolutely filthy. I have never seen hotel carpet in such poor condition. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and made an awful first impression. "Great parking and good staff. Honestly it was a straight forward hotel. Clean but rooms need some upgrades."

"I think the advertisement was misleading because they didn’t state that it’s under construction. The hallways smelled of marijuana and the beds are extremely hard. The refrigerator in my room was very dirty."

"The room was clean. The gentleman at the front desk who checked me in was absolutely wonderful. Ordered dinner in from a local restaurant that makes incredible jerk chicken. I happened upon this during my travel across the country. What a great place to stay. Thank you so much for all the hospitality!"

"Late after 3pm does not have a room ready, more than two and a half hours to wait, what is shameful, this bad experience. Whenever see a bedbug sticks on the floor in the room what goes on like this, at this price for $105, and saw a bedbug on beds in the backward. This hotel should shut down all due health concerns to be safe."

"This is one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a very long time with a hotel. It was dirty. The carpet looked like it had been outside, the furniture inside the room was old and beat up the room had a foul smell to it."

"Not the staffs fault but the power was out the whole time, the water was cold, and there was no a/c. I understand there was a storm but every hotel nearby had power which i’m guessing is because of a generator. Also the fire alarm went off every night which was horrible and caused disturbance."
