Staff helpful, informative. Breakfast wonderful. Room on the canal fun (tour boats going by during the day, bells from the nearby churches and cathedral…)

Liked: Staff & service
Excellent location. Close to the main square but far enough to be quiet.
AC is hard to adjust to the right temperature!
Martin Reales was an excellent experience! The location is perfect, the hotel is beautiful, and the service was absolutely spectacular. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made our stay truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!
A beautiful hotel in a beautiful town, close to restaurants, bars and yes, chocolate. With a view of the canals, just about perfect.
The breakfast was superb, the staff friendly and helpful and the evenings quiet.
My own wish: The return of the cotton blanket. Comforters sometimes require sir conditioning, and that just doesn‘t make sense on a pleasantly cool night.
Spacious room with a great view of the canal. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping and sight seeing. The breakfast had a nice variety of options.
Very nice hotel on a canal. Staff was very helpful with information about the town. Big comfortable bed. Did not have their breakfast so can not
comment. Would
recommend 👌
The hotel is a converted old building, as most are in the area. Getting to our room was a funny walk of up several stairs, down some stairs, up a floor, down the hall and then back down more stairs.... However, the room itself was spacious and clean. The hotel is doing renovations right now, so I did only give 4 of 5 for appearance and be prepared to be up by 8am if you are on the side with the work crew. The location is actually great - just far enough off the beaten path to be quiet, but close enough to get anywhere. There is a cafe close by that has wonderful food. We didn't have a working AC, but was able to just open the window of our room and the weather was cool. I would stay here again. The lobby feels very posh!
When we arrived to our garden view room, we found that that side of the building was having major renovations done and there was scaffolding everywhere. Work was being carried out during the day. We immediately asked for another room as this was unacceptable. Neither Expedia nor the hotel or any travel sites had noted that renovations were in progress. The duty staff immediately responded and found us another room which we considered superior to the room we originally booked.
Our stay was fabulous. All amenities were top class. The hotel is well located, just outside of the centre of Bruges and its attractions. Everything is easily walkable.
So apart from the shaky start, this was overall a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Martin’s Relais to travelers visiting Bruges.
The hotel was very well located. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was nice and spacious and we didn’t hear any noises from other guests whilst in our room. The breakfast was very nice and the attention to detail by the staff to make sure that everything was well presented and maintained, even having the proseco out for breakfast was a nice touch and very refreshing to see. Perhaps a few more hot foods would be nice but that’s just a minor detail. We would definitely stay here again.
This hotel was a lovely surprise! It was charming, historic with lovely rooms. The staff was helpful and friendly. We loved having a drink in the sitting room/bar after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend a stay at this hotel; you won't be disappointed!
We loved this older boutique hotel. The hotel is a great location. Bus near by, restaurants as well and on the canal. The staff is very helpful and even has a nice sitting area with a small bar.
