"Hotel Sherman was the perfect oasis for our quick stay in the city. Its entrance is tucked between two buildings, and I almost missed it at first. Upon entering, I felt like I was transported to a quaint Parisian hotel- it was simply lovely! The staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. "We booked an upgraded room unfortunately when we arrive, the room was not ready and it was broken. There was a lot of confusion among the staff of what was going on. We ended up waiting for many hours in a small cramped lobby. My wife is incredibly tired. We felt frustrated and angry, and when we had to be put in a room, we were putting in a room with incredibly noisy air conditioner. "The property was cool. I would've gave 5 stars but I gave a 4 because I seem a stain on the pillow sheets.. Clean sheets and pillows and towels and shower curtains should be a priority always.. no cleaning team should should over look stains. Change it out immediately before next guest arrives"

"Great location, in the theater district and a stones throw from time square. Walkable to many restaurants, central park and other mid town attractions. Nice updated rooms, large bathroom, and friendly staff. Wish there was a little more offered at the continental breakfast, but that is just nitpicking."

"Our room offered a stunning view of Bryant Park, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival, our room wasn’t ready, so we had to wait a bit. One of the friendly staff members kindly suggested some lunch options, which was particularly helpful since this was our first time in New York. "Appreciated the clean and new feel of this hotel. It is also conveniently located to major attractions and grand central station, which can take you anywhere. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. My only complaints are that the air conditioning did not work well would not go under 72 degrees. The windows are not soundproof for anyone who is sensitive to noise."

"Very dissatisfied. Placed in a top floor room that was so mechanically noisy the first night we didn’t sleep at all. Also the toilet refilled itself every 15 minutes because of a leak somewhere. We were promptly moved the next day too a better room that was great the first night. The second night we were kept awake till past 3 am by a party next door that was loudly arguing and shouting.
