"We were disappointed when we arrived and learnt our room was not even on the Main Street that faces the marina. We were off the back street, obviously next to permanent residents. Our room was smelly, with old and damaged furniture. The pictures on Expedia are misleading as we had no view, we had old damaged furniture, and we were off the back road and nowhere Palmer Street. "

"The Palmer Collective is centrally located in Townsville. It has its own bar and restaurant and this is the highlight of the property. The rooms are quite small, and unless I am mistaken servicing is only changing any towels and making the bed. If it is supposed to include light cleaning of the shower, toilet and basin then this is not done at all. We stayed her on two occasions and the biggest problem we had was the cleanliness of the service, when done. Nor is there any information available...

"The staff location and facilities at the property and close by make it a comfortable place to enjoy beautiful ocean views with local entertainment and foodaries walking distance. "Avoid this place. Dusty dirty rooms, empty toiletries, fridge not working, broken fixtures. Terrible service. Also the advertised free parking is first in first served and there are very few parks - you will likely end up parking on the street."

"The rooms were very basic, the door was super thin and I could hear everyone walking past, to the elevator all night. The doors weren’t lockable to ensure a safe environment. The lighting in the room was bad, no bedside lamps or lighting to allow relaxation. Only master ceiling lights that were positioned in odd places around the room. The bed sheets were dirty, with marks on top of the bed when I checked in. It was late at night when I arrived so chose not to raise it with staff due to...
