Not a palace but comfortable. Rooms let the hotel down for us, bath leaked, ants on the walls, furniture dated. All very liveable if you’re not fussy but it did let down the hotel. Bed however were clean and comfy. Breakfast and restaurant was good. Pool and surrounds well maintained. Overall we would stay again but bedrooms really could do with some TLC.

I had an awesome stay at the Mercure Hotel in Townsville! From the moment I arrived, everything felt welcoming and well-organised. I especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the well-maintained facilities. The pool area is a great bonus, ideal for unwinding, and the overall layout of the hotel feels calm and resort-like. The location is also super convenient, with easy access to Townsville city and surrounding areas. Whether you’re staying for work, leisure, or a short getaway, the Mercure really delivers on comfort and quality. The hotel is certainly outdated but the staff, service, facilities and grounds more than make up for it. It's quiet, close to everything. The food is wonderful as is the wine. A family friendly hotel - I love staying here when I'm up in Townsville for my dental check ups :)
