"Love the history and character of this hotel. The service is incomparable and the staff is amazing. Bedding was very comfortable. Jansz restaurant was wonderful as was the Pulitzer Bar. "The accommodation is good with optimal air conditioning, and always clean. Limited to pizza for evening meals and that was disappointing given it’s not close to restaurants and you would have to go into the city centre. Otherwise all the staff are lovely and very helpful."

Under 5 minute walk to the train station that brought you to Amsterdam Centraal as well as Shiphol Airport and if you get a regional 3 day pass even out to the surrounding suburbs like Haarlem and the seaside resort of Zandvoort. "If you look at Google Maps before you pick a location don’t let the maps fool you. There are many little shops and cafes close to this property. There aren’t staff on property that often but they do an amazing job with their check in/out and communication. They also have a supply closet so you never run out of anything. We could walk everywhere and if we couldn’t there are several bus stations very close by."
