"We stayed for a couple of nights, having breakfast & dinner twice. After a rather brusque check-in with a middle aged Asian gentleman (the owner?), we made our way to Room 10, a king sized room with an additional bed in a side room. As we had our Jack Russell with us, this may be a pet-friendly room. The bedroom was beautifully clean, and the beds comfortable. I think the bathroom had not long been fitted, and had a fabulous shower along with all the complimentary soaps/showergels/shampoos...

"I arrived just before 6pm to find my room wasn’t ready, so I waited in the bar. When I finally got in, the room was okay but lacked basic in‑room amenities—there were no cups or kettle, as these are kept in a separate kitchen, which was sparsely stocked. Although I knew the bathroom was shared, I was surprised there was no sink in the room. There were also cobwebs that hadn’t been cleaned, and the door didn’t feel secure; it kept banging in the wind overnight until I wedged it shut. Breakfast...

"Hotel in excellent position, lovely seating at the front of the hotel, sun all day! Bar and lounge areas are beautiful! However, our room was not clean, the bed valences were very dirty and the chrome towel rail was covered in dirty water marks. There were paint splashes everywhere, looked like the paintwork had been freshened up by a child. The beds felt hard and low quality, my partner was ok but i sleep on my side and woke up with my hips feeling bruised. Tea, cofee etc was not replenished in...
