"The room was fine, though could do with a refresh. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful Parking was easy. A good location. "

"The inside of the room was lovely with new technology for door entry, lighting etc. and we loved the wildlife and farm animals. however the outside of the property was a total mess. It looked like lots of the buildings were falling to bits and the grounds were overgrown and not well kept the restaurant was permanently closed and the shared microwave in the corridor worked but there was no cutlery"

Really big bathroom Very hot but it was a hot evening outside The check-in was weird because we were asked to pay £5 for parking which wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the booking process. Considering it’s a motorway services accommodation, there’s really no choice unless we parachuted in. The hotel should have the honesty to include it in the price at booking."

We received a wonderful warm welcome from Hannah and told to treat it as our own home and come and go as we pleased. Martha greeted us on the first morning and cooked us a fabulous breakfast. "Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website. Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to. Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. Ice cream for dessert clearly suffering from freezer burn...

"The staff were immediately helpful when the key card wouldn't work. They were also helpful in getting me something to drink after a heavily warm day. The room was basic but useful The bathroom was efficient in the use of its space. Breakfast was a refreshing start to my morning, especially the fresh water on tap, being nice and chilly. The wifi was quick enough to be useful and not a hinderance like larger hotels. It was easy to travel to and from my hotel of choice."

The breakfast is one of the best we’ve had in any English hotel and we stay in many! No problem parking, either in the forecourt or on the road. We highly recommend this hotel."
