"Very nice little room with everything we needed for one night's stay. The Manager was really helpful, including giving us a lift to the wedding evening do which was really appreciated. We were also offered a free breakfast which was a great touch. Its a lovely country pub with rooms. Woukd definitely return."

"I absolutely loved my stay at this gorgeous little hotel. A warm and friendly welcome, easy parking, a lovely room, a perfect location, and an amazing breakfast! I would say one of the best breakfasts I have had. Staff couldn’t do more to make the stay any better. "Lovely welcome even though we checked in later than usual Room was large with a sofa and desk area( room2) . Overlooking the main road, but traffic noise wasnt bad. Nice brekki.. continental and cooked with fresh coffee , self service apart from your cooked order. Would return. Thanks. "

"Great little hotel above an English Pub. Was relatively quiet after the pub closed. Great central location, friendly staff, wonderful food. No air conditioning but they did provide a couple of fans and we kept the window open so that cooled the room well enough. The beds were a bit on the firm side but overall was a great room. "

"Lovely greeting from the host when we arrived. Very central in Stamford with parking. Good shower although bathroom very small ( room 8) Comfy beds with crisp clean bedding. Would stay there again when visiting Stamford."

"Extremely friendly receptionist and it’s so nice to be accompanied to your room rather than be left alone . The hotel rooms are quite quirky with antique furnishings and our room had an oriental/ Asian flavour…perhaps some artwork over the bed would have made the room more appealing.The bed and shower were great and extremely hot water so that is a bonus. We walked to visit Burghley house which is located behind the inn and is a must see. The town of Stamford is a hidden gem …I felt we were on a...
