Top Apia Hotel Reviews

Tanoa Tusitala Hotel

Tanoa Tusitala Hotel

8/10 Good
"A good resort choice if you want to stay in downtown Apia, as opposed to the coastal hotels on the west and south coasts. Just remember there is no beach access at this resort, so you will have to make do with the quite nice pool and bar area! The location on Main Beach Road is a short walk to the limited attractions of downtown Apia, including a few restaurants and cafes, the fish and produce markets, Samoa Cultural Village and McDonalds! The rooms are spacious and reasonably clean, with good sized bathrooms, large screen TVs and basic facilities like bar fridge and tea & coffee. Food choices from the bar are limited, but tasty. Breakfast in the dining area was fine with a buffet style featuring the normal mix of western dishes and fresh fruits, drip coffee and juices. Unless you are using pre-booked tours (which the resort can organise), you will really need a car to maximise your stay in Samoa by visiting some of the beautiful beaches and waterfalls. Fortunately the resort has ample parking available. In summary, an older resort that is showing its age, but still offering a reasonable experience. Just don't expect the same 4 star facilities that you might be used to in the big city locations."

"I think I expected too much; it was definitely a great experience, but there is still a lot of work to do within the top floors of the hotel. The lifts weren't working to go directly to our floor, and I was with my 76-year-old mother, so we went the roundabout way and the shower wasn't accessible for her as it's still within the bathtub, which was too high for her to be able to climb in and out safely. Breakfast is definitely 10/10 with alot of options. Convenient location."

"This is a hidden gem! Love the location as it's away from the hustle and bustle of Apia but not too far. It was very clean; the executive room I was in was perfect, and it was quiet enough even with events on in their main area. I will definitely look to book with these guys again; the staff were amazing. Love the shower outside; I just didn't have hot water, which I could've followed up on, but I was too relaxed and chilled to bother. 10/10 for me!"

"Talofa lava, On behalf of the Sulusulu family, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to you and your team, especially Charlotte, for going above and beyond to care for my mother. Your attention to her needs as a guest with a disability ensured her stay was safe, comfortable, and dignified, and we are truly grateful for the extra care you provided. We also thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful presentation of the food spreads each morning and evening. Hosting our family dinner at your oasis was a highlight of our stay and was greatly admired by my auntie and uncles. The service throughout was truly five-star. We intend to return around the same time next year with our immediate family of three. If possible, we would love to secure our dates in advance. Thank you again for a wonderful experience. Kind regards, The Sulusulu Family ๐ŸŒ"
