Bank Holiday weekend booked fora spa weekend and the salon was shut the entire time of our stay. Disappointing. "This hotel is nice enough but needs investment and to examine its pricing structure. It looks and feels dated. Everything was 'okay'. Clean with good staff, but the food and rooms were average at best and extremely overpriced. The most annoying thing for me was that a pint of lemonade and lime was more expensive than any of the pints of beer. That is simply wrong. I had an Executive Room. This just means that your room is in the original house rather than the annex. Again, it was 'okay', but...

Two breakfast buffet offerings advertised, continental £12.95 and hot £16.95 but on the first day there was no hot buffet. Hot food was ordered a la carte from the kitchen (plated) and price remained £16.95 regardless of what was ordered. Surely pricing should have been adjusted. Overall a very pleasant stay but if you're a senior or someone with disabilities...
