"Overall had a very comfortable stay. We enjoyed our room, which was quite large and comfortable. A little noisy with our window facing the alley. The first doorman we interacted with was absolutely delightful and so helpful. Unfortunately the other shift was covered by a somewhat surly and very unhelpful staff member. "The room was small but perfect for 1. I missed having any cup for water as well as a mini coffee maker. Unfortunately I could hear traffic but it’s downtown Chicago so that’s to be expected. I travel with ear plugs just in case anyway. Easy check in and easy check out."

"The first impression was our check in, she made sure to let us know upgrade options, which, to our delight, were affordable and turned out great, loved our river front view and space! King suite. The hotel is smack dab where you want to be, walking distance to every thing! Love Chicago, river front walk, architecture, lake, food! Breakfast buffet was great, friendly faces each morning! "The staff at Silversmith is exceptional. Lucia and Susan at the front desk were so kind and helpful. While the room we originally checked into was beautiful, it was on the third floor with the windows facing the L train tracks.
