"The room did the job - but numerous issues. Missing some basic necessities like a bedside light. Had to use the public wifi from the bar downstairs which was choppy at best. The problems started right from the beginning. Check in according to the website was 10:00pm. But at 8:30pm I had a message saying I wouldn't be able to check in after 9 as the bar shuts at that point. The breakfast was good and plentiful. We were made to feel very welcome and our every request was handled efficiently and with kindness. "The B&B was located in a lovely and unusual setting at the end of a cul de sac. The views were great. Our hosts were very welcoming and informal. Of particular interest was on the ongoing 'construction' but nearing completion, of a waterfall and pond within the limits of the garden. "Good location.. bedroom was tired and in need of some improvements.. bed base was torn and tatty,.. there were 3 windows, only one was clear, the glass in the other two were in need of replacement as you were unable to see out of them and didn't let light through.. "The hotel seems to be a shadow of its own glory. Staffs were nice and helpful. We went there during the time when hot wave hitting the UK in July 2026. The room has no A/C and walking into the room feels like walking into a sauna. It was not at all comfortable. Good view of Aberavon beach from the room though."
