"We had a room overlooking the street in front of the hotel. The loud noises coming from below often woke us through the night. When we asked to be moved we were told the hotel had ver few rooms with 2 beds. Those with 2 beds were at the front of the building. A staff member told me there was nothing they could do about the noise on the street. Our experience, otherwise, was very good. "I stayed at the Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch with my dog. The golf course and surrounding area are absolutely stunning — clearly a lot of care goes into keeping them in top condition. "The hotel is off the beaten path and sits above Dingwall and anyone taking mass transportation to Dingwall should be aware that taxi and bus service to the property is limited. If you are carrying light luggage, and you are healthy and feel inclined, you can walk the 20 minutes from the train terminal. I cannot overstate that the walk is all uphill!
