"It was off season which may account for it being so quiet. The use of bikes, canoe, kayaks complete with life jackets all at your fingertips at no cost when ever you needed it, was great. And you are right on the lake!!! Manager and staff were very friendly."

"My family of 5 stayed for a long weekend for baskeball. The rooms were clean, well maintained and comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor area and loved seeing all the animals around the water, we saw goose and deer. We enjoyed the privacy of the space and the closeness to main street. "

"The room was really nice. Unfortunate that they don’t wipe the outdoor detritus off the Adirondack chairs and balcony. We would have enjoyed using that feature of the room but the balcony and chairs were filthy. Everything else was great."

"This is a wondeful 130-year-old hotel right on 4th Lake. Everything is within walking distance and the Laughing Loon is a good place to have a meal, a snack, and/or a drink. If there is a negative, it's the stairs - if you cannot do stairs, then this may not be the place for you."

"Fantastic! Drove 10hrs North to vacation in the Adirondacks. Spent the week at Whiteface Farm and have never had a better experience ANYWHERE. Buck and Clea are not only first class hosts, they are genuinely good people. If you are traveling to the area and stay any other place, you are passing up an opportunity to experience honest, old fashioned hospitality. "
