We had a bit of a rough stay here. We booked a premium room/suite that was near both the lake, and one of the outdoor pools. The state health department closed the pool due to unsafe conditions on the first day we were there. It did not reopen for the length of our stay. We politely mentioned we were disappointed when they text us asking how the stay was going. No apology was even offered. They just told us to use the other pool which was at another property, down the street and very crowded. We also had very noisy guests above us. Not the hotel‘s fault, except for the fact the old rooms mean you can hear a lot of noise. Lastly, the power went out. It was a planned outage due to construction, but nobody told us about it. The room got really hot. We also did not have Wi-Fi and we were unable to do any work in the room. When the power came back on, I let the desk know that we still did not have Wi-Fi. Again, no apologies. I would normally feel bad leaving such a negative review, but we gave this property multiple opportunities to address the issues, or even just show some compassion and apologize. It seems to me, it’s not very well run.
