The young man at the front desk was very nice and helpful went over and above to offer help with my luggage several times.

Stayed on 9/25. The hotel has charm and character, but the room was poorly cleaned and maintained, with dead bugs, badly stained carpets, a nonworking TV, and empty shower soap dispensers. Staff indicated shower gel had been unavailable for weeks. Overall, the condition did not justify the price, especially with better and more affordable accommodations available nearby.

This is a quaint inn under new ownership. The staff was eager for us to have a great experience and we did! We were warmly greeted and any special requests we had were easily taken care of. Our evening was topped off by an excellent dinner of filet mignon in the attractive, cozy dining room/bar.

We checked in late, and staff seemed to be attending a function or dinner crowd? He was very friendly and accomodating, but the organization of the establishment was lacking. Didnt know the room, the price, and didnt take my card info. The suite we reserved appeared to have been given away or unavailable, and we were given the choice of a room w a Sofa bed (that we unfolded and no interest), or a white rugged room that could not be locked from the inside.

We only stayed one night, but the kitchen staff were fantastic when we checked in. The rooms could do with a little updating to be ready for travelers with usb devices etc,etc. Overall great, dining was also great

Absolutely beautiful old Inn very near Mirror Lake

We felt we were stepping back in time but with all the modern amenities. Our room was beautiful, and the decor throughout the Inn was so nice. And their coffee in the morning was excellent. We ate in their restaurant and the food and service were superb.

Beautiful arts and crafts era home with inviting fire place in the front room, cozy bar, and comfortable, clean, charming guest rooms. Added bonus was the amazing dinner menu at the restaurant. Definitely will return here.

Such a beautiful and well cared for B & B. Comfortable, cool, clean, artistic and historic. Enjoyed my stay immensely. Favorite thing was I barely saw any staff there my entire stay. I think they purposely stay out of your way unless you need something. Awesome and unexpected.

Friendly spot in a fun town

Nice place in a great little town. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Nice location, not all that far from the main row of shops etc., we were able to walk... Expensive to stay around town, it is what it is. A negative would be that we were still able to hear restaurant noise downstairs at 11, still able to pass out after a full day though.

When we got there we had to walk through two feet of snow just to get in and there was nobody there to check us in. I had to call Casey to find out what room we were staying in, she wasn’t even there. (I had called before we even got there and left a message and never got a return call.)When she did get there, I asked her if we needed to make reservations for dinner at their restaurant and she said that it was closed. I told her that the website should be updated because it said that it was closed for the month of January and reopening in February. I also told her that we were really looking forward to dining there, that was one of the reasons that we paid so much for the room. The room was nice, but overpriced, we wouldn’t stay there again. There wasn’t anyone there when we checked out either, it was odd.

Way overpriced. the service is very poor. the real issue that the place is a fire trap. It's an old wooden structure cut up into a warren of tight little hallways with no fire breaks or fire doors and only a singe path of egress in the event of fire, assuming you aren't going out the window.

Meget lille værelse på 3. sal. Ingen elevator. Utilstrækkelig aircondition. Intet køleskab på værelset. Ingen housekeeping overhovedet, så ingen tømte skraldespande eller sigtede håndklæder. Så ikke et menneske på de 3 nætter vi boede der. Morgenmad var stort set ikke eksisterende, bløde gamle mini croissanter, der gik igen fra dag til dag. Kaffen løb tør. Alt for dårligt til prisen og virker nedslidt.

I gave 3 stars because of the historic charm, and walking distance to town. We did not try the restaurant. The carpet on the stairs looks as old as the house. Upon walking into the Morley room I was repulsed by the disgusting carpet, stained with blood, bleach, and who knows what else. The bathroom was clean, but the toilet wouldn’t stop running. The bed was comfortable, but the sheets and pillow cases wouldn’t stay put. There was no staff to be seen until we were leaving, and no coffee until 8:30am., so I went to Mc Donald’s. I would not return.

Our room was small and did not have a sitting area, this is not to be taken as a complaint as this is the room we chose to book. It was still early evening and we wanted to sit and read for so we commandeered two overstuffed leather chairs in the reception area. Darren the host/manager could not have been more gracious, considerate and generous in accommodating us. He also was wonderful making sure all the guests were well served and their every need met. It was a pleasure meeting him and observing him while he worked.

The best place ever!

Our stay at the Interlaken Inn was wonderful! Owner Casey and staff member Heather could not have been friendlier or more responsive to our requests and comfort. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we could want. Our room was beautiful and breakfast in the morning was much better than your typical continental offerings! We were even given a handwritten thank you note when we checked out! If you are in Lake Placid you should chose to stay at the Interlaken Inn! You won't be disappointed!!

We thought the property could have used some general maintenance. The windows did not close well to keep out the cold, as we were there in February. The doors did not close well but seemed secure. There was no extra toilet paper, no tissues unless we asked for them. There were not enough outets. The light on one of the sides of the bed was not able to be plugged in. The bed was very good (king size). The food at the restaurant was exceptional. Staff was very good and friendly.

Location, location, location.

Good location, less than a block from town. Nice to have onsite parking. Our plans did not allow us to dine in, but the restaurant appeared to be a popular spot. Mary the Inn keeper was very pleasant and helpful.
