"We spent our last night in Iceland in the Aurora Hotel as we had to be at the airport at 04:00. The location is perfect as it is 1 minute away from where we handed in the rental car and 2 minutes away from the airport hall. Checking in and finding the room was very easy and the room itself had everything we needed. "Nice hotel fronting hugh lake, snow mountain. 24/7 reception. The front desk reception is helpful and friendly. Bus station is just behind the hotel. One of hotel stop pickup for daily bus tour which is so convenient. Very highspeed wifi. Occasionally heard some light reno construction noise. At night, is quiet and windy. Just feel safe. "

"We appreciated being allowed to store gratis our 4 suitcases when we arrived @ 0900 but could not officially check in until 3 PM -- an elevator would have made getting the bags to & from our 3rd floor room easier. Breakfast was good & reception staff helpful in several ways"

"The hotel was very clean and just as pictured. The bed was comfortable and shower water pressure was amazing! I liked the keyless entry and check in. Parking is not super convenient, but not too crazy and I don’t have complaints. Just something to note. There are limited free parking spaces right by the hotel, but there were many free spaces about a block away. Would definitely stay again! "

"Gorgeous, quirky foyer. Super helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful room. But beware this is the center of town and it can get lively at night. But you shouldn’t be here to sleep, get out there amongst it. Having said that, the street outside the hotel is nowhere near as loud as other reviews have mentioned (we were at the back of the property though). This is the place to be if you want bars, dining and convenience. Loved our stay here."

"L'hotel Oddsson (midtown, quindi non quello in centro che è invece downtown) è posizionato in una zona non troppo distante dal centro di Reykjavik (circa 3.5 km a piedi). Visto da fuori può sembrare un po' tetro, in quanto tutto nero e con l'aspetto di un casermone di 4 piani. "Everything was pretty much as described. Though we got a little hiccup that the door code we were given to access our room was wrong. Be prepared to have to call their phone number as I saw other reviews sharing the same experience. Otherwise, it was all good."

"Very nice property that was easy to access from the highway. Local food markets and bistro/bar are right there. Access to the gym facilities next store with sauna and hot tub is part of your stay. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the local activities! Definitely would stay there again on our next trip!"
