"The Lighthouse is excellent for a one-night stay-over before or after a Keflavik flight. It is about 14 minutes by car to the airport. It is in a very quiet area at the end of the Gardur peninsula. If the hotel restaurant is fully booked, as it was when we stayed, there is another within walking distance (wild and windy weather notwithstanding) - the Rostin. Unfortunately, it closes at 8 so if you're arriving later be sure to have a hotel restaurant reservation. There is nothing else for...

"We stayed here for 3 nights and it was very peaceful and quiet. There was loud bikes going by but mostly before 10 pm. Parking was easy. The guy here is wonderful and the cheerfulest and helpfulest guy ever. He made us feel very welcome. Conveniently 20 mins from KEF int. Airport and he was accomadating for our early morning flight in. We were able to check in at 10:30. 10/10 would recommend to a friend."

"The kitchen is marvelous! The upstairs is an A-frame room and there are stairs to the upstairs unit, and to the loft. This could be a positive for privacy, if you are young and agile. We slept on the hide-a-bed on the main floor and found it comfortable. Any communication difficulties were on my end, because we were traveling when the hostess tried to communicate with me."
