"We loved the hotel. Please note that as per Expedia a shuttle service to the airport is included. Unfortunately by law the hotel is not allowed to pick you up at the airport - they can only drop you off. That is the case for all airport hotels at KEF. You need to hire a taxi to get there from the airport if you don't have a car."

"I often fly between Boston and Europe via KEF. The connecting flights to/from European cities often have 8-12 hour nighttime layovers. I used to stay in the terminal and arrived at my final destination exhausted. Lately I stay at the Aurora Hotel at KEF. Easy/safe walk from the terminal. You get some sleep and a great breakfast, and arrive rested and ready to enjoy your vacation. If your layover is long enough you can even visit one of the hot spring lagoons nearby or near Reykjavik. "

"The staff acted swiftly, professionally, and with utmost concern for all the customers during the most recent evacuation. They made sure at 1:30 am that we were all accounted for, taken to a safe meeting place, and placed in a motel by 4:30 am. The staff should be commended for making us feel during this stressful volcanic eruption. "

"Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very spacious, clean, and was set up for us to rest after our flight in. The guesthouse is next to a restaurant which is very convenient, we didn’t have time to try it but it seemed very popular. The town is very quiet, makes for a nice walk. "

"Great value "

"We had a great stay at this hotel. Everyone was very nice. The hotel is about 30 minutes from Reykjavik. The lady at the front desk was super helpful. She helped us figure out how to use public transportation to get to the city center and buy some medicine. The room was nice and specious. There was no Phone in the room, so we had to go to the front desk if we needed something. I recommend this hotel just know is far from Reykjavik city. "

"Quiet, clean, comfy beds and great location. clean. I didn’t use the breakfast option. Lots of hot water & good water pressure in shower. Access to walkway along the water is really close. Was able to see the water from my room. There is no onsite restaurant but it’s walking distance to great restaurants & pubs. I only stayed one night but would stay again. "
