"We began our stay in Ischia recuperating from the trip at Samiramis. We moved Albergo Macri as a home base for day trips around Ischia and to Naples, Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast. We were very conveniently located to take ferries and buses for those day trips. There is an excellent restaurant just down the block, and many more around the port and further into Ischia Porto. The owners were very hospitable. Excellent value.

"Hotel a gestione familiare, contraddistinto da cordialità e simpatia di tutto lo staff. La nostra camera pulita e confortevole era dotata anche di una spazioso terrazzo con vista mare. Ringrazio Franz e la sua famiglia per averci fatto passare 3 splendidi giorni. Luca&co

"Casa Sofia was the perfect place to stay with the most amazing views. The staff were beyond helpful. Giving us great recommendations and getting us and our bags from the bus to the hotel.
It is a climb from the centre of Sant’Angelo but I can’t imagine any place not being a climb. Would highly recommend."

"We booked a room that had a beautiful terrace looking onto the garden but the room they gave us was in the back so it got no light and the terrace faced a wall. We complained and they said the photos online are just examples. Not good value for money and the photos are deceiving. "
