Room was clean and location was close to the metro station as stated in reviews. However we had trouble with the shower, which was in a shower room. This room filled with ankle deep water which spilled into the sink area and then into the foyer, requiring me to use the towels to create a dam and mop up the water. I believe the shower drain backed up, either because of a hair collecting device or because of a partial blockage further downstream. I emailed the owners and a woman showed up within an hour to bring us more clean towels and to help me clean up the mess. This was the first time we had used the shower. After she cleaned it, it drained ok.

This was one of the best stays we've ever had. The service was outstanding, and both the breakfast and dinner offerings were excellent.
Rumi and her colleague — whose name I unfortunately can't recall — were absolutely wonderful. They were attentive, patient, and great listeners, even though we could only communicate in English and didn't speak the local language. They made us feel completely at home.
The rooms were immaculate — our beds were always made up perfectly, and everything was kept to the highest standard. It was truly an exceptional experience in Japan. In fact, we were so spoiled by this hotel that every other stay felt like a step down as we travelled from Tokyo to other cities.
