Good quality hotel at a prime location, amazing massage service, however few errors that should not be done by a 4 star hotel:- 1) my credit card didn't work for the deposit when I checked in? Felt the staff was reluctant to find a solution or a different machine that works, and they didn't accept debt card. I used the same card in their Spa and it worked just fine. 2) the electricity in my room was not stable on my last day? On my last night it kept waking me up suddenly all the lights switch on? I switch them off and then 10 min later a glitch happens and all lights switch on waking me up. Until it completely died while I was taking a shower and I had to call the receptionist soaking wet to understand what is going on. The cleaning lady came and put her card in the socket instead of mine. 3) no flexibility for late check out..not even 30 min, I understand this hotel is busy but just to set expectations for anyone thinking of asking...and I booked a pool access room 4) gave them my laundry and I had to call twice to ask for delivery....urgency should be there from the staff 5) upon checking out, Normally the first question you get "how was your stay with us?" , in this one they didn't even bother to ask or apologize for the electricity drama. 6) you have to pay a 1K fee for any visitor which i think is a bit too much

The hotel is a little distance from Patong Beach (although the hotel provides a shuttle bus). The hotel does not have its own beach. The hotel is beside a highway, and there are only a few restaurants nearby. It sounds as if this is not the best holiday hotel choice,right? But you just need to check in.Then you will find that this is a surprisingly good hotel.Because the hotel is located on the hillside, the sea view is very spectacular. The staff are all friendly and always have a smile.With a person with limited mobility the front desk team Joe Sordy and LOH took extra care of us. And lovely Ms.Noodang at breakfast restaurant was so kind to us.She not only explained everything in detail. And make sure our table is clean and the cups are full.She also took the initiative to recommend us and sent us the special dessert of the day. Then let's talk about the breakfast.Hotels in Thailand have never short of a good breakfast.But the breakfast at Kalima is unbelievable.Whether it is the variety or the quality of food.For example you may find bubble breakfast in many hotels.But Kalima take it to an other level.You can even make your own highball here.Such a good breakfast plus a good view what else could you ask for a holiday?

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly that it truly set the tone for our stay. The guest welcome was exceptional, and the staff were absolutely amazing attentive, professional, and genuinely caring at every step. The resort itself is stunning: a beautiful property in a perfect location, offering both comfort and elegance. Every detail reflects true 5-star quality, from the atmosphere to the service. A special mention to the team for going above and beyond by arranging takeaway breakfast for us, as we had an early morning flight. This thoughtful gesture made our departure stress-free and showed how much they truly care about their guests. An outstanding experience all around. Highly recommended, and we can’t wait to return.

The pictures don’t tell the whole story. The lobby, bar and restaurant were immaculate and well maintained. The rooms, on the other hand were quite a different story. They were in need of upgrades. The bathrooms were dated and worn, the beds were ridiculously hard and there was a constant presence of termites in the rooms and bathrooms.
