"We had a great overnight stay at The White Hart when visiting the area for a wedding. A dressing room was available to use so we didn't have to travel in our wedding outfits, but our room was ready so we were able to check in earlier. The room was small but it had all we needed. There was tea and coffee available in the room, the linen was clean and the bed comfortable. There were a few chairs and tables outside on the walkway where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine. "The room was spacious, clean with lovely thick fluffy towels. Very modern bathroom with great shower. We were also upgraded to a deluxe double room which was a nice surprise. "

"Always had good stay with village before but this time there was problem at check in as I booked through Expedia. Paid through Expedia, and only had to pay for late check out at hotel but they tried to take full stay and the extra payment. They kept saying there was issue as there was insufficient fund in my card but I had already paid for stay. They blamed Expedia for this. Already a bad start to the stay. The rooms itself are good then when it came to the next day, even though we paid for late...

"Very nice hotel, close to railway station so ideal for me and without any noise. Stayed in a suite, very well laid out with plenty of room. My only negative comment would be one of the basins in the bathroom was stained which was a little visually off-putting, but no other concerns. "
