Sarkies Bar in Yangon at the Strand Hotel. This hotel has been open since 1901. We went there and
Had a delicious high tea with champagne followed by a cheese and bread platter. We enjoyed it so much we finished off with a couple of $7 cocktails.

The train ride-loop is about 2,5 hour, but we jumped of after 1h. You get the feeling of the local life and you really get to interfere with the locals. They share their fruit with you gladly. Jump of when everybody jumps on, there's a huge local market. Take a taxi back to the city for nothing above 10000 kyat!

Interesting town that is still rebuilding of the ruined remains of the English Raj...friendly people...Old and New seem to share the same space...can be expensive if you don't understand the "Art of the Bargain" and are welling to walk away...lot of.
